brings together people from widely differing cultural backgrounds, helping each participant understand their life in terms of broader realities, contributing to a more tolerant, just and equitable world.
Intercultural Encounters offers churches,
universities, seminaries and community groups from the United States, Canada
and Europe the opportunity to discover Guatemala in all its diversity,
complexity and beauty. Through immersion
experiences and work projects, people from the North are able to experience
everyday life in Guatemala
and work alongside local communities. We
also organize conversations with representatives of a broad spectrum of
religious, social and economic groups, as well as local politicians.
